"What are you doing???"

Well, maybe this isn't so bad...

...but, this is MUCH better!"

Friday Night Entertainment

"The more things change, the more they stay the same." We went to the mall on Friday night for some exercise. Plus it was a great excuse to try out the stroller. With the cold temperatures and snow we haven't been out much. Lots of parents had the same idea. Here's daddy showing Adley what he'd like in his shop some day.

Sleeping Beauty

Pretty in Pink

Sunday, February 11, Adley dressed for church in one of the dresses that Grandma Judy saved from her mommy Michelle. Grandma even bought some pink bows to dress Adley's full head of hair! She was very feminine in all pink and very beautiful.

Adley's Baptism - February 4, 2007

“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4

Adley's gown, bonnet, shoes and blanket were a gift from Grandma and Grandpa Eggebraaten. Thank you!

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day to our dedicated readers! Thank you for celebrating with us these past few weeks as Adley Marie joined our family.

Today, Adley spent some time helping make a valentine for her daddy. We love you daddy!

Day at the Spa

As most of you know, Grandma Judy stayed with us until this past Sunday. Before she left we enjoyed one last "Spa Day" which includes a sponge bath by grandma and a shampoo. So far Adley enjoys bathing, especially washing her hair, she is so relaxed and even turns her head under the water to help get all the soap out. Afterwards, what's a girl to do? Take a nap in her pink terry cloth bathrobe and bunny slippers, of course!

As you can see, Adley is really going to miss her Grandma Judy!

Adley's Baptismal Weekend With Family

Adley Marie was baptized this last Sunday, and was brought into God's family through ordinary water connected with the extraordinary Word of God. I have been calling Adley the "cutest pagan I know" these past days, but no more! Her status as an enemy of God (cf. Romans 5:10) has been washed away with her sin, leaving the clean perfection of her Savior Jesus. Praise be to God!

The four grandparents were here--we need to work on getting Adley to the great grandparents next--along with Andrew, Peter, Noah, Anna, and Fai (the Iowa Eggs' exchange student from Thailand). Adley's godparents are Chris & Heather Nitzel and Chris and Megan Crume. Heather was able to be at the baptism; Chris works on Sundays, he's a pastor! The proud grandmothers stood in for Chris and Megan, as they were unable to attend the service. Pat Weiler helped us celebrate, as did Wendy and Emily Nettleton. Our wonderful congregation was of course excited and supportive--we are very blessed. What a weekend, let's do it again soon! (the celebrating, not the baptism; cf. Eph. 4:5)
