Playing with Ender

Little boys love Thomas the Train.

We tried several times to get the two boys together for a picture.  They even had on matching sweaters for church but no photo.  Simeon was less than thrilled at having his photo taken this time.

Hot Potato game - toddler style.

Ender's First Christmas

Girl Scout Cookies

Adley taking orders for Girl Scout cookies.  She started over Christmas asking Grandma & Grandpa and Anuts and Uncles and she did well too.

Girl Scouts are supposed to wear their vest or uniform when they sell cookies, but they didn't say anything about wearing your pajamas too!

Aunti Anna ordering cookies while GrandMary babysits.  After Auntie Anna was done and left with Ender Adley thought she was waiting around for Auntie Anna.  Finally she asked if she was done with Auntie Anna's order and I told her she was.  Quickly she said, "Then I'm wasting time here!"  It was on to her next customer.

Of course, it was below zero outside so she had a pretty captive audience.  Every little bit helps!

12 Days of Christmas

We continued with our 12 Days of Christmas tradition this year.  The kids received presents each of the 12 days!  We liked to celebrate as long as possible.

This was Day 5 - slipper socks for everyone and perfect for this cold weather.

Horses and stable from GrandpAl and GrandMary

Jr. Racer from Uncle Noah and Auntie Wendy

New Mexico red chile, NM coffee, candle and more chile related goodies from Wendy.

Lumber from Peter for Jared

Of course, we received many wonderful gifts but took only a few pictures.  The girls enjoyed giving their aunts and uncles seed paper to be planted in the spring for growing flowers.

Horses!

Gearing up for 18 degrees and some windchill too!

with Auntie Lisa and Uncle Drew.

 Cana, Brago, Nell and Gloria?
Cana is such a good helper.

 Sonny, Simeon and Uncle Drew.
This was Simeon's first real experience with the horses since he wasn't even walking when we last visited. He wasn't afraid at all to feed them, or pet them.  It does help that Sonny wasn't much taller than he was and they're almost the same age too!

 Sonny, Joker and Adley
Adley says her favorite is Rootbeer since she named her, but I think she really favors Joker.

 Sonny and Simeon

Brago and company with Adley, Simeon, Auntie Lisa, Uncle Drew and Cana.

Getting cold, time to go inside (at least for the photographer).  The girls stayed outside for a few snow angels and a couple of sled rides down the hill in the front yard.

Thanks Uncle Drew and Auntie Lisa.

Fun with Uncle Noel

Uncle Noel and Aunt Mary were already at Grandpa and Grandma's when we arrived.  It was fun to see them too and celebrate a little Christmas with even more Aunts and Uncles.

Uncle Noel ready the new Thomas the Train book to Simeon several times.

Stocking fun!

New sleeping bags for camping.
Adley tried it out, Cana followed and Simeon didn't want to be left out.

Adley gave Mom and Dad a beautiful painted heart ornament for Christmas that she made in first grade.
Cana gave Mom and Dad a shimmering snowflake ornament that she made in preschool.
Thank you girls!

Simeon with his new cars from his sisters and his Thomas the Train Rhyming book.  He read the book for over half an hour the same day and then in the car on the way to Iowa and everyday over Christmas break.  We're calling it his favorite Christmas present.
