Valentines Day

Butterfly valentines for her class ready to go.

Cana had a lot of fun with the conversation heart relay race and the "drop the heart" game. 

Adley's turn for Valentines Day and her class party. Wearing all red and pink for the occasion. 

Working on the heart weave craft.  They also decorated sugar cookies to eat for the snack and played ping pong with racquets and red balloons.  Good times and lots of sugar were had by all.  

Mommy was fortunate to be able to help with both parties.  Daddy spent some extra quality time with Simeon.

Craft time!  Each girl had her first initial in a wooden letter to decorate with sharpies. 

Cana had so much fun with all the big girls!

Simeon played with Becca our favorite babysitter.  They played trains, catch and even some of the party games.

7 Years Old

Lutheran Schools Week

Lutheran Schools week was a bit different this year.  There were planned dress-up days, a pep rally and school assembly as well as the long-awaited pajama day.  Unfortunately, Monday and Tuesday were cancelled due to the cold weather and Adley stayed home sick on Pajama Friday. She was devastated that she missed the first grade silly slipper contest.  She informed me that the silly slipper contest is only done by the first grade and there will never be another one in her entire elementary career.  Ok, my words not hers, but it was just as dramatic.  She attended Hats and Shades Day (no photo) and Safari Day (see above).

Cana missed Team Spirit Day due to weather and only had Pajama Day at her school.  This was Team Day rescheduled and she refused to wear the Chicago Bears shirt I picked out an opted for this pirate ensemble instead.  I told her to tell people she was from Pittsburgh.

Cana had a great time with Daddy and the rest of the family.  She saw lots of her friends from preschool, played ALL the games and bounced in the bounce house.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed the bounce house. Simeon had his turn when most of the bigger kids were gone for the day.  He enjoyed it too but it was a bit tough for our little guy.  He'll be ready next year!

As a take home prize each of the kids received a space shuttle water bottle.  It was a great way to spend the morning and to avoid the snow.  It snowed the whole time we were there!
