More Birthday Celebration Fun

Two dollars for turning 2!

A new book from Grammy: A Visitor for Bear (they have tea).

Grandma Mary makes great braided pig-tails.

Another celebrating opportunity: going out to lunch...

...and a few more presents to open.

A floor puzzle from Grandpa Al & Grandma Mary.
Of course, the best present is playing with Grandma!

A Tea Party game from Grammy Judy and Grandpa Ed.
We must play at once!

Learning to use the spinner...
(Adley was a quick study)
And how to take turns.
(this will take a little longer)

Time for tea!
Adley is a real hostess. She loves pouring tea for everyone.

Adley turns 2!

Look who's 2!

"M's!"

Blowing out the candle was a new experience.

Our little celebration included cousins Deb & Rocky who live locally.
Thanks for helping Adley turn 2!

You couldn't possibly turn 2 without balloons....

...or Elmo! Thanks Grandma Mary!

Grandpa, Grandma & Presents!

Grandpa Al (PakaAl) and Grandma Mary (Grandma...ree) came to visit arriving Friday afternoon. On Saturday Grandma and Mommy went shopping while Adley played with Grandpa.

This is what we found when we got back.

Soaking up the Grandma time.

We started celebrating early. These were the first few presents beginning Sunday night.

After church on Sunday and talking to Grammy.
Where does she get this pose?

Pretty as a picture!

January catch-up!

I'm playing catch-up. Before I post all of the great recent photos of Adley turning two I wanted to get in what kept us busy leading up to her birthday. Enjoy!

Adley attending her first birthday party. Her favorite part was enjoying the social interaction after the bitter cold we experienced the week before kept us indoors for days at a time.

Birthday tunes with the birthday girl.

"Okay...bye-bye..."
"Who was on the phone Adley"
"That Uncle Noah."

Adley loves dressing up. Especially if she can use Mommy's clothes, shoes, or even hats!

Our Week

Despite the snow, blizzard warnings and extreme cold, we have had a good week. After working late on Sunday night, Daddy took some much need time off to be with us girls. We spent the time watching movies (including Dora and our favorite: Monsters Inc.), sleeping in, watching other people shovel snow out of driveway, and playing games (with our new flash cards).

We are all healthy again and we can finally report that the Christmas decor is boxed up again for next year. We did have to cancel our monthly cradle roll meeting due to the cold, but spending time with Daddy made up for one missed opportunity. Thanks for a great week Daddy!

Next up: time to plan a birthday party for someone turning 2!

Wednesday night dinner to ward off the chill: Chili Beans!

"Good to the last drop!"

Daddy built Adley a house to play in.

The architects.

Watercolor painting with Mommy - a fresh canvas.
(will have to post the final product later)

Peek-a-boo!

New Furniture

Our new table and chairs courtesy of the Christmas money from Grandma and Grandpa E. Adley loves her new furniture. She sits to watch movies, color, play with her latches board, read or play with blocks. Of course, she's quick to correct us if we say blocks. These are "LEGOS!"

Thanks Grandma Mary & Grandpa Al!
