New Car!

Today we were blessed by a family from church with a car that is new to us. Daddy helped Adley get the car ready after it was transported in the back of our truck.

First you have to wash it to get that new car smell!

Goop

Today we learned a new word - Goop!
Definition: 2 parts cornstarch, 1 part water, sort of.
Use it in a sentence: Adley loves Goop!

First you have to don the appropriate outfit which included this apron that was a handmade gift at Adley's baby shower.

Mommy thought the headband would keep the majority of the goop out of Adley's hair. Adley thinks the world looks different without those bangs in her face!

First you have to mix it...

...and pose for the camera.

Then you continue mixing it while alternatively spreading some on the table.

Next comes the fun part - handling it.

Another pose - CHEESE!

Every once in a while you have to taste it...

then scoop it...

then test it.

"Ewww"

All done!

Going for a walk...better wear a hat!

Adley woke up from her nap today (7/16) calling for a hat from her hat rack. I presented her with the rack and she chose this hat which complements her outfit nicely, don't you think? Actually, I think she just likes pulling the brim down so that we can't see her face. Of course, she can't see out either, but who are we to argue?

This lovely dress was a fabulous birthday gift from Adley's godparents Chris & Megan!

Adley's Room Makeover

Adley's room is finally finished (being decorated) thanks to a colorful collection of children's albums from Grammy as well as some great frames.

Adley's first reaction was "wow!"

A nicely decorated room just makes you want to sit down and enjoy it, doesn't it?

By the way, she climbs up and sits in this rocking chair all on her own, with the extra books stuck on the side (just like Mommy).
