My First Museum & Uncle Jeff's Visit

On Tuesday, 9/18/07, we picked up Uncle Jeff from the airport and headed downtown for some sightseeing at the Museum of Science and Industry. We spent most of our time at the U-505 exhibit of the German submarine captured during World War II. It was an impressive exhibit both in size and from its history.
Adley, true to form, took it all in. That girl is always learning!

This chick hatchery display was a part of the Genetics exhibit. Adley enjoyed watching all the babies run around. A few of them would even come right up to the glass for a "bird's eye view."

Pizza Picnic - 9/16/07

Sorry for the long blog drought.
For awhile, we weren't taking many new pictures and then, as always, mom caught the shutterbug again!

This was an extension of celebrating my birthday with a coupon for a free pizza. While I went to pick up our dinner, Daddy & Adley created a picnic out in our front yard. Because there was a breeze Daddy made sure Adley was dressed for the weather in her vest and cap.

We should take advantage of the area in front of our home.
It was a beautiful evening.

Mommy's Birthday

For Mommy's birthday we went out to an Italian restaurant. Now that Adley can sit up on her own she can use her floppy seat in the restaurant's high chair. Here she is enjoying all that padded comfort. (Thanks Grammy for such a comfy seat!)

Daddy's artsy photography.

Playing around until desert.

Thanks to Daddy & Adley, Mommy had a great day!

More Splashing in the Tub

"I love splashing!"

"Why can't I grab it?"

My First Baseball Game

Last Friday we watched the Joliet Jackhammers beat the Schaumburg Flyers in the 10th inning. It was a great game and Adley did enjoy all the people although she was a bit confused about all the yelling. She had just dozed off in Daddy's arms when the Jackhammers hit a home run in the 8th. Naturally, she woke up. Then, we were all treated to a fabulous fireworks show after the game.

The season is over now, but there's always next year!
