Just Playing by Myself

The best part about sitting up is being able to play by yourself.

Do you ever get that feeling that you're not alone?

New Bathtub!

Adley has graduated to the big tub. Mommy found an inflatable insert that is just her size. Of course, the real bonus here is...SPLASHING!

The pictures just don't do it justice.

Church Picnic - 8/26/07

Well, we are back from our three week vacation in Sacramento. Adley enjoyed Grandma & Grandpa's house as you can see from ALL of the previous posts. We returned last Tuesday and had a smooth, uneventful trip. Adley was even complimented by the passengers behind us. They didn't even hear her once during the 4 hour flight. Such a great traveler!

After we got back, Mommy got the flu. So we spent most of last week in survival mode. Thankfully, Adley remained healthy and no worse the wear for the trip. Daddy did have to come home from work, though, to make sure we were all right. Thanks Daddy!

Sunday was the annual church picnic. We enjoyed a BBQ lunch, live band, ladder golf and some fun in the sun!

Pigtails, Pinnochle & Prawns!

PIGTAILS...

Adley doesn't particularly care for us messing with her hair, but once she forgets about them she doesn't mind the clips in her hair. And they are awfully cute!

PINNOCHLE...

We were able to play three hands of Pinnochle (Mommy's favorite card game) while Adley was in her Jumper. As long as she knew she had an audience, all was well.
Adley was on my team for the last hand and we did well but we still lost. Oh well.

Adley was entertained by all the colorful cards.
She could even reach some!

PRAWNS...
(honey walnut prawns)

On Friday night we ate at Fat's Asian Bistro and had Mommy's favorite, Honey Walnut Prawns. Of course, Adley didn't get any but that doesn't mean she didn't try!

Pigtails! - 8/15/07

We've been having a lot of fun playing with Adley's hair.
Grandma found some small clips that she just "happened to have" and presto: PIGTAILS!

Bath Time with Grandma - 8/15/07

Adley got the chance to bathe in the same bathtub that her Mommy used when she was that small. Its a wonder Grandma kept it so long.

Bunco! - 8/13/07

Another first! Adley played bunco for the first time on Monday night. She seemed to really enjoy herself. Of course, Grandma had even more fun!

Sunday 8/12/07

Church with Grandma.
Adley is wearing Mommy's baby dress for the occasion.
She even contributed to the sermon a bit.
Adley was very happy AND chatty during the service.

Cousin Abigail attempts to hug Adley.

This was the only way to get Abigail still long enough for a picture.

Dinner at Julie's - 8/10/07

On Friday night we enjoyed a great dinner at Julie's out on the patio. Adley enjoyed being outdoors and all the attention.

A vist with Great-Great Aunt Pauline - 8/9/07

On Thursday afternoon we visited Great-Great Aunt Pauline's house.

Adley met her "cousin" Abigail who is 11 months older.

Adley is happy to relax with Aunt Pauline.

Abigail is excellent at sharing.

Fairytale Town! (8/8/08)

Fairytale Town is one of Mommy's favorite places to visit. We walked around there on Wednesday before we had to take Daddy to the airport. We can't wait until Adley is old enough to recognize all the stories on her own. We'll definitely come back!
